About me
I am a researcher and faculty member at the Center for AI Research, School of Computer Science and Engineering, KLE Technological University, specializing in deep learning, machine learning for computer vision applications. My primary research interest is in designing Neural Architecture Search (NAS) methods that automate network architecture engineering using multi-objective optimization. My work focuses on optimizing models for resource-constrained devices such as mobile and embedded platforms, ensuring performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
In addition to NAS, I have hands-on experience building custom datasets and designing from-scratch DNN models for real-world applications in industrial automation, healthcare, and agriculture. I have also experience in the design and optimization of DNN models for computer vision tasks such as image enhancement, classification, and segmentation, while addressing the constraints of edge devices to improve deployment efficiency.
I have published my work as research papers in various Web of Science and Scopus-indexed journals, book chapters, and conference papers. I have also completed a training program at Samsung Research Institute, Bangalore, which has equipped me to teach a course on Embedded Intelligence and mentor students under the Samsung PRISM program.
As a faculty member, I deliver courses on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Exploratory Data Analysis, Embedded Intelligent Systems, Python & Shell Scripting, and Principles of Compiler Design in the School of Computer Science and Engineering. My academic background includes a Master’s degree from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, and a Bachelor’s degree from the Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumakuru.
